How to use PDF to Excel

Turn a PDF into an .xlsx spreadsheet in your browser. Each page becomes its own worksheet, and columns are detected from where the text sits on the page.

  1. 1Upload the PDF that contains your table or statement.
  2. 2Convert it to Excel.
  3. 3Download the .xlsx file and check the columns before you use the numbers.

Common questions

Will my table come out perfectly?

Usually, but not always. A PDF has no table structure — only text at coordinates — so columns are inferred from the layout. Wide or merged cells sometimes split, so always sanity-check totals.

Does it work on a scanned PDF?

No. There is no selectable text in a scan, so run OCR PDF first, then convert.

Are numbers usable in formulas?

Yes. Values that look numeric are written as real numbers, so SUM and AVERAGE work. Currency symbols are dropped so the cell stays numeric.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

This tool runs entirely inside your browser. Your file is never uploaded to a server, so nothing leaves your device.
